When I unpacked the plastic bag and dust bag, there was significant petrochemical outgassing. Yes I could have left the bag outside until it stopped smelling BUT the lining of my bag was poorly sewn. Lots of loose threads around the padded laptop compartment and also where the zipper is sewn to the bag. The threads around the zipper got caught in the teeth causing the zipper to get stuck. Again, I could have removed all the loose threads and made this bag work better, but the combination of all these issues convinced me to return it instead.
