too big, too "rough "

I liked the look of this online and the idea that it was redesigned. But when it arrived I found it to be too big for my frame (5ft 2in) and looks a bit "rougher" than I expected. For me, I couldn't imagine using it with any clothing item other than ripped jeans because it was too distressed/ugly.
