I discovered these by accident as a friend at work used them to bring lunch. They are great and I have ditched most of my Tupperware and Rubbermaid containers and replaced them with them. It's also less common to use glasses or put leftovers in a bowl covered with plastic wrap. An important innovation here is that there is a softer plastic seal. This allows the rest of the lid to be made of harder plastic and allows you to add latches without deforming it. This leads to several practical advantages: 1) Thanks to the closures, the containers do not fall out if knocked over or handled roughly. While not airtight, at least the lids stay in place unlike most competing square containers. a stack with no six hands or two extra trips. The dimensions are well chosen to make it practical. This frees up a lot of space in the fridge. There are a few things to consider. 1) Like any plastic container, they will discolour when certain foods are stored, particularly tomato chili and soups. 2) Sometimes they leak when filled with liquid and inverted.
