Great monitor, very affordable, may have mounting bracket issues

I used to have a 7 inch Atomos recorder/monitor. The thing is good but so heavy and bulky. Then I got a bmpcc 6k and the atomos was no longer needed for the recording, so I spent months looking for a new monitor that didn't cost 500€ either. Reviews of this monitor on the Internet and in the form of videos were good, especially for all versions in which it is included. I chose this version because you could add a wireless video transmitter to it. I don't need it right now, but knowing it's there when I do is great. The monitor is bright, light weight, lasts a long time on npf970 batteries and doesn't feel very heavy with it. Large batteries affect viewing angles, and that's another issue I'll address. The monitor has focus, zebras, lut options and so on. The histogram is easier to read on this monitor than on the bmpcc6k. I want the monitor to show if the camera is recording. There was an issue where the camera stopped and luckily I caught it, but it would have been nice to see it on the monitor (although it's probably a black magic issue). My only issue with this monitor is the bracket that comes with it. It seems I can only position the monitor in two ways and neither of them is comfortable for viewing. Next time I'll make a video and update it. But I can't just attach the monitor and then loosen the screw to rotate it to the desired viewing angle.

Pros
  • Very flexible power system compatible with cameras
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
