Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Security: Pacsafe Carrysafe Anti Theft Camera Strap - Safeguard Your Valuables with Peace of Mind by Brooke Abrahams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great strap but needs some control when using

Would like to give it 4.5 stars but as usual the rating scale limits you. I'm only pulling this down from a 5 for one reason and that's because of a hazard you need to be aware of to protect your camera gear from damage. Overall I like this strap. I needed one to travel to Europe where I would be in very crowded situations and known burglary/pickpocketing areas. I don't know if I was ever targeted, but I felt safe with the belt. It is very well built and the quality is also very good. I used it to carry a Canon 70D and a Tamron 18-300mm lens, which together are a moderate weight. I wasn't sure I would have any trouble comfortably carrying the gear for hours at a time and was glad the strap did its job very well. So the reason for the "Stardom" drop is that I almost lost the camera when one of its sides came off. I know how to put the strap on properly, so that's not the problem. In fact, the strap didn't move when I tested it after the first attachment. I was shocked when he picked up. Luckily, I usually hold the camera body when I walk, and it wasn't until I lifted the camera to take a picture that I realized it wasn't there. I think the metal of the strap will slip off over time. I checked it out from time to time after the first incident and found that it does it again and just makes adjustments. The strap on the other side never moved, so I'm not sure my guess is correct. Either way I will definitely use it again in a similar situation but now I know you have to keep an eye on the strap to see if it slips.
