Review on Dimmable Daylight LED Bulb – Prosperbiz Candelabra Equivalent by Eric Garron

Quality needs much improvement

Ordered 3 boxes of ceiling fans for the bedroom. I love the pure white light of 5000 Kelvin. At $3.33 per bulb, I expect the bulbs to last a significant fraction of what the industry demands - thousands of hours before they fail. My experience with these particular bulbs is a 17% failure rate. A light bulb began to work as a flash immediately after installing it and turning on the switch. The second bulb strobed and burned out. This morning I found half a lightbulb lying on the bed. I'm not sure if it exploded or just melted the glue holding the plastic lightbulb to the rest of the assembly. But along with the lamp head there was what looked like two diodes. That's a 17% failure rate per box. I feel like the industry hasn't perfected this technology, but instead just throws what they can produce at consumers who believe in energy savings, or government regulations just made it a one-sided game. Anyway, in my 72 years I've never experienced so many bulb failures. We may be compelled to buy these lamps as there is little choice, but until quality is achieved manufacturers have to forego profits and sell lamps at a low price. Price. What good is a guarantee if returning the lamp costs more than it's worth? The same problem with shop LED lamps. The failure rate is much higher than the manufacturer or seller allows.
