The most important thing about trunk is that it's free, so you can try before buying! It also has an easy to use interface which makes managing your projects really simple. I like how quickly my team gets updates when we are working in different locations or using our own computers at home instead of being stuck with just one computer/laptop for work purposes alone. Sometimes there could be some lag time between creating changes and seeing them reflected after they have been saved but this may depend more on what kind of files you're editing rather than anything wrong with the software itself. Try out trunk if you haven't already done so because it will help keep track of all those project documents without having multiple copies lying around everywhere. We've managed to save lots of paper by not needing as many hardcopy versions of everything (e.g., meeting notes).
