This helps a bit: Cooling Pads

I have a 15 inch Lenovo T590 that was throttling and crashing due to overheating under system load. Desperate for stability. Put this cooling pad underneath and it will change the world. Before the cooling pad, a video conference with more than 10 people (including cameras), an ambient temperature of about 26 degrees Celsius will cause the processors to exceed 90 degrees Celsius peaks in the high 90- That is, usually the car is blocked in the high 90s. This particular machine draws air in from the bottom and blows it out from the side, making this type of cooling pad ideal (not all laptops do this, be sure to check yours). I adjust the cooling pad as I settle down, a row of 2 fans in the back, same calls have processors in the low 80s but no thermal throttling or stalling - progress! Touch check, this circle will be hotter than before. Considering the row of 3 fans, it looks like they work better in the back than in the front. I rotated the cooling pad so 3 fans exit the back of the laptop (and lay the legs flat), now the same CPU video calls are in the high 60s/low 70s, even better progress! I like this pad because it fits the laptop snugly without protruding on the sides. I can also have the fans lined up directly with the vents. Twisting back works, but the USB power cord sticks out the front, which is a bit ugly, I might try to buy an L-head USB cord. to better hide the cable. Also, I can't increase the angle while facing backwards, but I was looking for something flatter anyway, so it doesn't matter. I'd like to turn off the LEDs, but they don't bother me too much.

Pros
  • Cooling Pads
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
