This is a day one review of the new Nicpower charger. Arrived on time, from Revain Prime. The charger is connected to a 3 year old Dell 5770 and the light shows charging. So I turned off the 5770 and booted it up to confirm that it said "88% and 12 minutes to full charge". Not to say it gets warmer than the standard Dell PA-12 it replaces. For the money this will be a good charger if I can use it for more than 2 years. The old Dell charger stopped working a few months ago, but if I wiggled the plug it would connect until it connected. 4 months after the upgrade, the laptop slipped off the couch and landed on the carpet. The connector is slightly bent but still works. I've read that the plug could fail in these 5770s and have also ordered a spare plug in case I need to go in. I'm glad this charger works, Dell is famous for making name brand chargers and charging twice what they cost. The charger works out of the box on this pathetically underpowered Dell 5770, but that's another story. The fact that it shows the laptop port is fine was worth it because I wasn't sure if the charging plug or the laptop DC port was the culprit. Those 5770 4.5mm DC connectors are flimsy, but according to the reviews, there have been unreliable chargers here too. 5 stars for length and price, 4 stars for cable strength. I'm glad this one works + it's a foot longer than the old one.
