When I took the skirt out of the packaging, the first thing I did was stretch the waistband to the limit. Since I doubted it would fit my wide hips, I decided to at least try and started putting the skirt on. With a little maneuvering around the buttocks and the fullest part of the hips, I was very surprised to find that the skirt not only flatters my waist but also fits perfectly! Not too big or too small even with my sweater tucked under the band. Excited to finally find a skirt that hugs my hips WITHOUT suffering from a loose waist, I went about my daily routine to see how the skirt is streamlined. It was long enough that the wind outside didn't ruin my modesty, but short enough that I didn't trip on my way up the stairs. The pockets are surprisingly larger than I expected so I can still carry my usual stuff around without needing a bag. For a plus size 5ft 5 person with wide hips I was very happy with this skirt and while it's fun to do housework I will definitely wear it whenever I can!
