Eh Headsets in Headsets

I have a 10 year old Walmart Logitech wired headset that I bought for about $30 that sounds better. But that's the wireless category, so I can't be unfair there. The battery life was good as advertised. As for the sound and functionality in general - no. This is the second HyperX headset I've bought, one from Revain, the other from Newegg. One side of the headphone always has more bass and treble that are mismatched. My wife did a blind test and I turned on YouTube music videos. I asked her to choose the side that sounds louder. Both times they were able to choose a side immediately. This will drive any OCD crazy for the tonal balance. This is a fairly well-known issue if you search for it on Reddit or even scroll through the reviews. Crackle - Lots of crackle depending on what you're hearing or seeing. You know, it's very annoying, the same crackling sound you get when you plug a pair of $10 speakers into your computer. Like trying to play music with your friends in your 1993 Ford Fiesta with stock speakers using a cassette adapter plugged into a 10 year old iPod? Microphone - Can't rate, didn't use it for this purpose. I liked the Arctic Steel series, there were no such problems, but I returned them for their own reasons, and not for minuses. I picked up Razor Blackshark v2 Pro and am still using it to this day. None of the problems I've encountered elsewhere. YMMV.
