Great, but not for me.

I'm sure it's a great pillow but it's not for me. Good points first. The size is just right to hold between the knees. It's not big enough to get in the way and I don't feel uncomfortable or unnatural using it. In fact, it's wonderful, like I'm getting the support I've been missing so badly. I've been using it for three nights now and have noticed that I sleep faster and without interruptions. For those who sleep on their side, this is a godsend. But here is my problem. After years of sleeping on my side, working at an uncomfortable desk, and generally not taking care of myself like I should have, my lower back twists and I often wake up stiff and limp like an old man. I have found that this condition gets worse when I overwork and practically pass out for 8 hours and I think the reason is that I stay in the same position all night. When my sleep gets a little lighter and more restless, I roll over once or twice and my back doesn't seem to get as cold. This pillow is *too* good. With a pillow between my legs, my brain seems to be sending me a message that I'm fine. I don't have to move while sleeping. For each of the last three mornings, I've woken up well rested and in the same position I fell asleep, on my right side, and spent the first half hour of each morning cursing under my breath and trying to get up. just. I think I *need* that discomfort to keep my back from cramping. Well what I need most is diet and exercise but right now the best thing I can do is stop using that pillow so I sleep less and toss and turn more. let my back rest It sucks (situation, no pillow).
