Now freehand building is a lot of fun and you can do lots of really varied and useless runs, but the full potential of what you can create is unlocked with the Gravitrax app, which includes a kid-friendly 3D AutoCAD version for this kit. That's right, you can design multi-level, multi-dimensional runs of insane depth and tricks, test runs for potential bugs before you build in real life, and then once you're happy with the plans, follow the step-by-step building guide to To build! The design of the Gravitrax app doesn't fully take into account the chaos and real world variances that can ruin a marble run if the tolerances are too tight, so when you design your marble. Allow for additional inclines/distances/wider turns/shorter turns/elevation changes, etc. so you don't waste time creating a dead end that only works in the app.
