They are great for turning your shoes into slippers; the laces stretch a lot and seem to reach a good level of tautness but still allow them to slip off; the product is designed to be cut according to your figure; Once you do that, you can't transfer them to other shoes because you can't lace them with the ends cut off. End up leaving a little more on the top than you might initially think to see how much you really need after a week of use; The first time I used them I cut off too much and it hurt to put them on (user error!)
