As with many other products, the adhesives used do not seem to stick very well. I don't know if the companies are trying to save money by using less glue or if they're just being lax in their choice of materials. In any case, this product does not have enough adhesive on the back, especially considering the thickness of the material. If the surface is not perfectly flat, the material will blister or curl. Not what I wanted. Also, the top is not very sticky. I really just wanted to use the band for protection so I didn't really care, but I don't think it offers good wet traction. Maybe more grip than fiberglass, glass or other smooth surfaces, but it doesn't seem to offer much grip at all.
