Review on Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses CC Sheer Nude SPF 30: Review & Buying Guide by Lindsey Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good ratings at EWG. Some glitter. Light coverage. Light fragrance. No allergies.

Safety: This product has been rated a 1 on a toxicity scale of 1 to 10 on the EWG Cosmetics Database website. Colour: I have fair skin with a slight yellow tinge. This product works well. (I tried Pacifica Medium CC Cream, which was a bit too dark for me.) Coverage: While the shade looks promising, the coverage when applied is light. Still need concealer if there are pimples or redness. Shine Gees It Shines: Like many users, I find that this "matting" CC cream leaves an oily sheen on the skin (not a very pretty "wake-up-like-this" look!). What helps: Face powder (I used NYX Shine Killer, that also has a low EWG toxicity rating and is a good price. But the powder is dirtier and drier) or foundation (tried Rimmel foundation, which only removes half the shine. And successful with matting l'oreal). base, photo perfect matte). No Allergies: I used to be allergic to many natural products, including many Honey Girl products. This CC cream works well without causing allergies. Pros: Light rose scent that lingers for a short time - when the scent fades it's a reminder that too much time has been spent putting on makeup in front of the mirror! time to move on. Life expectancy. Outdoors: exposed to UV level 3 for 3 hours and felt no tanning or spotting (which I'm prone to). So far, so good.
