I somehow persuaded myself that this would unlock some negligence in building a marble structure. I always have to stop and rebalance my towers because I like using circles/cymbals that need support from both the bottom and the front and back. I wrongly thought that I only had to support directly below because I could continue building directly on the circle/plate. Not quite true, because those skinny little legs can't stand it when I push a tower against them - I still have to decide how/what to build. If you look at your existing circles/plates you can also see that they are not perfectly round; there is only one correct "orientation" for new legs. If you look closely you'll see that one leg is marked for the protruding side, but again this requires care and forethought that I don't always want to apply to a marble walkway.
