So this touchpad works great when the button is pointed directly at the keypad. After reading the reviews I was curious if this keyboard is really as bad as they say it is. I have a USB extension cable, so having only a few feet between the key and the keyboard isn't a problem. I connected the key to the expander and placed it on my desk. Put the keyboard on my lap (about 2 feet apart). That does not work. I place the keyboard on the keyboard stand and place the key DIRECTLY ABOVE the keyboard on my desk. I have a glass topped table, mind you. That does not work. Seriously 2-3 inches between key and keyboard. But when I grab the key and point it directly at the keyboard, it works. What junk. Don't even think about connecting it to the back or front of your tower. Will not work. Targus usually has a good product. Unfortunately, this one went far wrong.
