This is not a universal beard trimmer as the attachments are designed for short hair from 1 to 6mm. It can be used to trim a portion of the beard to blend into the temples to create a "fade". This is fine for this, but not very practical as you have to switch nozzles for each length. It doesn't have a dial that you can just turn. Another obvious use for this is as a body trimmer. It fits in small lush places. You can trim armpits and other crevices. You can use attachments to trim hair on your arms or legs, but if you want completely hassle-free hair removal, this is no substitute for a real razor. I like this trimmer for what it was designed for. I would say two things: the mounts feel fragile and can easily break if you're not careful. The other is nit, the USB cable is not a standard tip. So if you lose the cable, you can't just replace it with the USB phone charger cable you have.
