This definitely seems like a cheap design. This is the second time in a month that the display has stopped and the output has switched to AC. Two points to solve: 1) The main chip that controls the display is burned out or something like that. The display ends and no data is displayed. This happened after 2 days of using the first and 4 weeks of using the second. I really smelled his burnout on the second today. 2) Once the main chip burns out, the output voltage will no longer be controlled. Expect a full return from your panel to your battery. THIS COULD BE BAD! Especially if you charge Li-Ion. Luckily I added lead-acid batteries to my lithium-ion batteries a few weeks ago. This lead-acid never fully charges (because I don't want the li-ion battery to get 13.6 volts), but since I plugged it in too, it was enough to absorb/accept the surge without my damaging the system. I do not recommend this product. It is produced cheaply and sold cheaply.
