Review on Grey Hazel Beoplay H8 Wireless On-Ear Headphone with Active Noise Cancelling from Bang & Olufsen by Sean Garrison

It makes me crazy!

Probably the best headphones I've ever owned. And that includes some fairly well-known companies: wired headphones include the Denon AH-D7000, Denon AH-D2000, Sennheiser HD 650, Beyerdynamic 770, 880, DT48E and MX 300, as well as a range from Grados, Sony and more. Bluetooth headphones include the new Denon Globe Cruiser, Senn Momentum 2, Definitive Technology Symphony 1 and the Sony and JBL range. The BeoPlay H8 will crush them all. And I say that by never using them wired! Nice? Bluetooth only and mostly with a Sony Xperia Z2 tablet that offers aptX, just like the H8s. But the sound is absolutely incredible. Solid, fat bass, crisp, shimmering highs and rich, full mids. They are incredibly comfortable. Last flight from BDL to ATL and then to SAT. The flight time is about 5 hours, and the whole time they were on my head. Ideal. And the ANC is luck. On those flights I was close to the engines - not absolute silence, but very, very quiet. Later, I sat on a hotel balcony sipping tequila directly over the river in San Antonio to the sound of live mariachi music, cars and buses, boats going by, and the roar of the crowd (the Spurs played in every bar on TV). . The H8 killed Def Tech in the noise canceling realm. With Def Techs I thought I had the perfect pair of headphones but the H8 are totally out of league. I also use them with my Samsung 4K TV which has surround sound via bluetooth headphones and they are great. Game of Thrones with headphones? Yes baby! Headphones are very personal. What I love can leave you indifferent. But for me? My first purchase from B&O showed me why people love this company. They don't just make gear - they make perfect gear.
