Review on Deco Gear Curved Ultrawide Monitor 35", VIEW220, LED, 3440X1440 Resolution by Shawn Thompson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Business users overview

I would give this a 4.5 star if possible initially as I initially thought they were missing 5 stars but this is a solid 4 star product. Attempting to give a quick, helpful, non-delusional review: USE: Business users. zero games. parallel monitors. Many maps can be opened at the same time, which requires Word/Excel etc. PROS: - Excellent resolution, uniformity, brightness throughout the day etc. On par with the LG 34 Ultrawides in my office. - Price (pre-COVID work from home). At the time of purchase, the monitor was priced at a mid to low $400 per monitor. The ambient LEDs on the back aren't bright. I didn't really want this feature, but I'm glad it won't be distracting. - Everything is great except for the following issues. CONS: - At first they made a noise like an old hard drive spinning, but it's quite a ways away. It gets very tiring when he reappears - You sit a little lower than I expected - Can't adjust the height. It would be no problem. only my two are not the same size! Which one? Two adjacent (contacting) noticeably differ in height by about 6-7 mm. The footprint is almost the same as the monitors - about 4 inches wider than my LG bases. Doesn't sound like much, but trying to place them side by side on a 4ft wide table is a joke - you can't do it without tipping them more than you probably need to, or dangling the base from the base Table. edge.- The supplied DP cables are pretty darn short and you'll probably need to buy new ones unless your computer is very close to the monitors - you get 3 different types of screws and the instructions don't say which ones. You'll find out - NBD, but it's a little annoying when you're scratching your head and looking at the instructions, which should be incredibly simple and straightforward. - A monitor has 2-3 dead pixels. Luckily, they're next to each other and touching the border in the corner, so it's not the end of the world. Initially they were too bright to use at night without fiddling with the settings. All in all they must be great and I'm glad I have them. . The issues I'm having are minor compared to how well they work for their intended purpose.
