My laptop won't charge anymore even without this hub. I don't know if my Anker PowerPort Atom PD 4 or this Satechi hub was to blame, but I got a notification on my OSX that basically said too many USB devices were drawing power, so I've had a USB port dated Hub disconnected, but then I realized my battery was dead and not charging anymore. At first I thought it was just a hub, so I plugged the power adapter directly into my MacBook Pro. No dice. Then I connected my OEM and no charge. As the battery continued to die, I tried resetting PRAM, NVRAM, etc. Nothing. However, the ports still worked. I don't know if it was the hub, the Anker PowerPort Atom PD 4, or a combination, but I'll give both 1 star as a warning to anyone considering the same setup. Edit 9/25/20: After 2 repairs from Apple failed again, this is the 3rd time. s died with the following message: USB devices are disabled. Turn off the device that is using too much power to turn USB devices back on. The common denominator is this hub. I'll see if Apple fixes the issue again, but these hubs could break.
