concept could be more educational but cuter

We've never seen Blues Clues but I still found the concept of this toy for my preschooler adorable. We love getting mail and we even have a friendly postman that we wave to to make it look like a toy that would catch my kids' attention. I like sturdy wooden envelopes and stamps. I want the address/return address to have real numbers and small words (like 123 Blue Street etc.) instead of squiggly lines. Or better yet, a place to write your own address so kids can find out where they live. I might end up getting some post stickers and posting my own content there. Different prices could also be printed on the stamps so that children could learn about postage. The mailbox itself is really good with a working checkbox, but it can fall off if not careful. I give this toy 3 stars for the good quality and unique concept, but I think there are some missed learning opportunities that would have made it a lot more educational.

Pros
  • wooden stamps attached to self-adhesive tabs; Puzzle or game pieces are placed in a gift box, which is placed in a shipping carton; all parts are kept in the mailbox
Cons
  • There are problems
