later The rings are true to size but the grooves do not fit any fixtures. I originally bought a replacement ring for a floor lamp but tried screwing it to various brackets to see if they would fit and they were no good. UPDATE: Replacement rings were sent and they are exactly the same. not screwed to any lamp
