Great slim case for my tab s7 - doesn't solve all problems but close.

So after I bought my Taba S7 I took some cases, this is one of them. My other case is larger and more durable with a keyboard when using the tab as a "small laptop". They both have very different goals and they both do a pretty good job at it. SUMMARY: If you're looking for a well-designed case that's as thin as possible while still offering viewing angle options as well as a more secure place to store your pen, look no further. This case is a bit more expensive than the others but you can feel the fit and finish, it feels like it was designed exclusively for my Tab S7 which I can't say about the other cases I have. And while the pen holder inside is a great innovation and protects the pen very well when traveling and when not in use, it doesn't completely eliminate the limitations of the pen itself. but it's as good as it gets with this pen design DESCRIPTION: The case is a thin, hard plastic case with magnets to hold the tongue and pen in place compared to straps or plastic holders. This makes it a very thin body that is approx. Total tongue thickness is 4mm, width increases by approx. 11mm and height (length?) by 2mm. In general, the added mass is minimal and the weight is negligible. probably the best I've ever seen. It has a slot for a stylus on the back to fit the factory position on the charging tray and a place to attach the stylus in the back of the inner sleeve (with magnets) so the stylus is safe and secure when closed is and will not fall out. FIT AND FUNCTION: Fits very well. Case material - durable plastic with a hard textured surface on the outside and a velvety textured surface on the inside at the point of contact with the tablet. The magnets hold the tongue quite firmly inside. I shook the case as it was open book style and it took quite a bit of shaking to dislodge the tab from the magnets. I'm not afraid that reading will come off. in bed or in any other situation, except perhaps in the event of a fall. I would like to point out that this case is definitely not a protective case, I could easily see the protrusion pop out and bounce if dropped on a hard surface. But that's not why I bought this case. It closes securely, with magnets that respond to the pull tab and turn it off when closed and back on when opened (you still need to use biometrics or a stylus to unlock, of course). The case's fold points are made from the same plastic (they're all solid), so it's easy to open, close or fold into position to read a book or stand up to look at it. The only downside I see with this design is durability. The plastic is likely to degrade over time, and repeated folding and unfolding can cause the hinge areas to crack and eventually become unusable. but the quality of the case will probably take it. problem, not a quality problem. There is a fold point on the body to set it in viewing mode and 2 notches in the body cover allow you to adjust it to 2 viewing angles. I found the process smooth and intuitive, and the positions easily match what I would use to browse while seated at my desk or perhaps on the counter (I like to use my tab to read recipes online). It doesn't look like he'll lose his position easily if he moves, although of course that will change if he's picked up. But it's a much smoother process than my larger case, which requires both the tab and keyboard to be moved and shifted a bit to get the optimal position. To be honest, if I don't regularly use my tablet as a "mini laptop" e.g. for class or group work, I would probably choose this case and use the keyboard from my other case for occasional work. That shows how much smoother and easier the installation process is in this case compared to my big one. but the larger one protects the tablet much better, so this is my solution for long-term use of the laptop. The stylus holding positions are simple and effective, although they don't solve the main problem with the stylus: it only needs a slot for the stylus to slide on the tab (very similar to my Note 9 phone). Due to the external stylus, it is inconvenient to hold the tab during normal operation when you are not using the stylus. This case solves this problem by providing a location on the inside of the case that holds the pen securely between two plastic holders at the top and bottom. This makes the stylus reasonably secure when closed and reasonably secure when open, although it's still prone to falling or wiggling when you're holding a book or filmstrip. But it's great for travel when you need a slime profile for your tab (like in a bag or briefcase) but also want the grip to be secure. But for me, with normal use, the stylus still stays in place on my desktop. It was just a bad design choice for Tab 7, one of the few issues I have with Tab.
