I used this cable with the intention of replacing the t50rp cable. At first I was disappointed with this cable as the sound was distorted when I connected the right hand corner to the headphones and the straight end of my amp. I then swapped the ends and found that the source of the distortion was that the square end could not properly connect to the headphones because the silver-grey housing was covering the jack too much. Comparing both ends, the rectangular housing covers the plug about one millimeter more than the straight end. I was able to fix the warping problem by sanding down part of the body with a dremel, but I'm pretty sure that would void my warranty. So in general everything is fine. Maybe you just want to increase the quality control of the sleeves so they are the same length.
