They are amazing, like die-cast matchbox cars

I love these lights. For a full 2 months I've been looking for something for my 2015 Ford Fusion that not only fits into the limited space of the light housing, but also provides the brightness and dense illumination I was looking for. It's not just about how "bright" something is, or the "lumens" that many manufacturers like to boast. In fact, I had fog lights from another company that were very bright and looked perfect from the start, all shiny and gold colored, but placing the LEDs in the plastic housing of the fog lights didn't let enough light onto the road. road where necessary. The Cougar engine lights in this gold model are exceptionally constructed. One of the issues I had with flashlights of the past, mostly LED, was that everything that came in the kit fit in the case and was still sealed with the waterproof rubber grommets that came with the Fusion. . I really didn't want to take a cutting tool and cut out parts of the flashlight body just to fit the LED. I know they sell weather shields modified on Revain which I suggest if you are using a different type of LED as the fan can protrude out the back and has the necessary ventilation so the light doesn't go out on you. .These H11's are great, just plug and play. I suggest pulling the low beam headlights (which they replaced) up perpendicular to the other car and lowering the headlights until they are about 4 inches from the other car's side window. So when driving on a bump/uphill, you will not automatically blind the oncoming driver. These lights remind me of die-cast Matchbox cars. Although they are not shiny gold like in the picture, they are all made of metal. That way they won't break if you have to push them a little to get the lights securely in place. I noticed the old LEDs I had in my lens which were only about 3 months old, the outer glass was cracked and the bulb itself seemed a bit loose in the socket. I have been installing these lamps for 3 weeks [1 year has passed now]. I had no problems, no flickering, no problems at all. My photos were taken with a Canon 6D at different apertures and an ND-8 filter to show the before and after difference. My old LEDs were four strips with large pads that illuminated everything around them. Luckily, Fusion has a half cap inside the projector lens to prevent light from escaping in circles, making it flatter and more DOT compliant. The photos speak for themselves. The first two photos show my old LEDs in the same projector housing. Seems bright but doesn't throw any light forward so worth driving anywhere but a well-lit city. Unfortunately, I paid about the same for these large yellow 4-stripe domes. Please note: Cougar headlights are slightly longer than standard halogen bulbs, so use caution when fitting them into your vehicle's headlight housing. Although the light is less forward on the ground, it is "projected" further down the road. Note: I can see much further with the Cougar LEDs and in the suburbs tend not to use high beam as someone is always approaching. They are easy to install apart from the time it takes to take apart the entire front of the Ford Fusion which is 4-6 hours the first time and 2-3 hours the second time. Tip: Unscrew the screw in the fender and remove the middle plastic screw, but do not remove the screws, only remove the panel. *** Trick when swapping headlights. Add something to that. Change the oil, flush the antifreeze, whatever, because in the time you've spent taking the car apart, it's better to do something else while all the covers and cases are off, because it there are many screws to loosen for a set of headlights. -- Brett S.
