I got what I was hoping for with the Leaf Ranger, but be aware that while it's "easy to install", it can be difficult to get the desired results to achieve. I had a Leaf indoor antenna over 10 years old and was amazed at its performance but wanted better reception from a tower 36 miles away. The Leaf Ranger delivers noticeably better images from all stations without pixelation, even in heavy storms between the tower and me. Antenna reviews say that either people liked their purchase, or it failed completely. I understand this now because after experimenting with many online guides I was close to giving up. Some things I didn't learn online though: First, the antenna placement that worked best for my old "non-directional" Leaf didn't work for the "multi-directional" Leaf Ranger. I had to find the best place (in the attic) for the Leaf Ranger. Second, use pliers to gently tighten the coax connections. Fingers are clumsy and not always strong enough to overcome cable twists that occur when tightening connectors without tools. Finally, experiment with and without the amplifier. I read about problems with the amplifier, but did not check if it helps, in my case it was a minus.
