I bought this to repair the hull of a used canoe I bought. It was reluctantly repaired with regular epoxy and fiberglass, so I wanted to get it right. After learning about HDPE (high density polyethylene) and how it doesn't interact well with regular epoxy resins, I found many mentions of this material on canoe forums. I followed the instructions, watched some videos and gave it a try. For the larger crack I used fiberglass sheets cut to size and soaked in epoxy, but I also filled some gouges and small dents with epoxy only. It worked great. The connection seems strong and flexible. No need to rush either, it's runny at first, like warm honey, but easy to work with for about 20-30 minutes before it starts to thicken. Use disposables to spread it out as it won't detach from your brush or tools.
