Review on πŸ“² LolliLockit Magnetic Grip Car Mount for Pop Phone Holder, with Dash/Window Socket Attachment - by LolliLocket (Patent Pending) by Jeff Bundrick

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The glue isn't strong enough - it melts with heat

The mount itself is quite strong, the suction cup holds well, but the self-adhesive metal disc attached to the back of the phone case melts from the heat in the windshield. I'm not talking about leaving your phone in the car β€” I'm talking about when you're driving, at least when you're driving in Florida in the summer. The package contains two self-adhesive metal discs. For the first metal disc, I thought the glue just wasn't strong enough. Every time I put it in the cradle, the metal washer would detach from the back of the phone and try to stay on the cradle. After half a dozen attempts to glue it back to the phone, I gave up and actually ordered a new phone case with a smoother back, thinking the glue would stick better. I used a second self-adhesive metal disc and when I first removed it from the mount, the disc stayed on the mount and not on the phone. I glued it back on and it held for a while but as I rode the glue melted and my phone fell out of the mount and the metal disc stuck to the mount. Of course I didn't notice any of this until the return time was up, so now I'll either order a different type of mount or see if I can stick that damn metal disk onto the phone case.
