Review on S Magnetic Compatible I Product Smartphones by Jeremy Gulledge

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good deal for $$ and useful too!

Bought this primarily for my mum in her fifties who was constantly tearing regular phone cords to stretch them while sitting on the couch. After the 4th or 5th flex of the USB cable, I realized something needed to be changed. That's when I came across a YouTube video that advertised magnetic cables for cell phones. For some reason, although I've seen them before (always discounted in big stores), I figured that the magnet means they stick to the back of your phone so you don't lose them. I thought it was a stupid trick. YouTube taught me otherwise (and no, I'm not 50, I'm 27 - don't ask me why I thought that or where I got the idea from, I have no idea). So add two and two and I realized that a magnetic cable that separates when overstretched, rather than bending the USB portion itself, would be perfect for my mom. And hey, while I was at it, I have one for me and a spare. The longest cable went to my mother, the second longest went to me. We both got set up and neither of us have looked back at regular non-magnetic cables. As a bonus, this set includes (although he doesn't say so) 3-4 mini USB jacks, which was one of my issues as both of our phones plug into a mini USB jack. So it was greatly appreciated. Not to mention all the other extras you get with this one. I would say it's worth the price. The cables themselves are pretty solid, and the mini-USBs that go into the real phone stay where they should and are easy enough to remove if needed. So to speak, the magnetization, although strong, can be missed as soon as you connect the cable to the mini USB part. If you plug in the cable without the blue light facing you, charging will start and then stop, so be careful. I leave my phone by the bed so the blue light can be a little annoying. I wish there was a way to turn it off, but I think it's good to know I have power. And I still cover the light with my glasses case lol. I would definitely recommend and buy again if needed. Like I said, for what you get, it's worth it. Give it a try, you won't regret switching to magnetized cables. :)

Pros
  • DUSTPROOF AND DURABLE: Inserting the magnetic tip into the cellphone charging port can prevent the charging port and cable base from being dirty or damaged by dust. So that the magnetic head does not get lost when not in use, we provide you with a stylish cable manager. You can also organize cables to keep your desktop neat and tidy. Reinforced stress points with a lifespan of more than 5000 bends make braided nylon cables several times more durable.
Cons
  • not reliable
