May warp when tumble dried

This hat fits my 5 year old well but I'm taking off a star for two things: 1) I want the brim to be about 1/2 inch wider 2 ) After washing the box is crooked. I'm assuming the brim thread is cotton and shrunk so the brim was a bit wavy. So if you are washing this hat, I would recommend letting it air dry. It was accidentally put in the dryer, after drying the brim doesn't stay as flat as his other panama hat.
