If you receive a charging cable because you are not sure if your Acer Aspire 3 charger will work, try cutting off the excess plastic at the base of the connector. This will prevent the plug from penetrating deeper into the socket. Otherwise I think the charger should be fine. I returned it as trimming the excess plastic worked for me. 4 stars because I don't know exactly.
