I bought this hat for a Kentucky Derby themed event. It looks flat and wrinkled, but the instructions say you should use a hair dryer to flatten it out. I'd say it worked pretty well, but I used cold air after hot air on my blow dryer to set it in place after straightening. There are thin elastic bands on the inside of the hat that can be tied together to keep it secure on your head. Overall this hat isn't super trendy but it worked for my purposes, looked pretty cute and I would recommend it.
