Very disappointed that my table turned up with a scratch and .

Very disappointed that my desk turned up with a scratch and an unsuccessful attempt to cover it with purple marker. Not what you would expect from buying a new product that I wanted to keep in my living room. This scratch is very noticeable on the table and somewhat spoils the overall impression of the product. In addition, after assembly, the top layer of the table, which is not fixed but "floating”, does not sit well on it. You can see in the second picture that it isn't a snug fit but one of the edges is sticking out so awkwardly. For both of the above reasons I am dissatisfied with the product and am hoping to return it and if not I am selling it as used.
