Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ Azpen Dockall D108 - Qi Wireless Fast Charging Docking Station with Upgraded Bluetooth Speaker System - Glossy White by Sergey Chodavarapu

Revainrating 3 out of 5

New model but not many improvements other than the plastic type

I had two D100 Azpen one in Lake Home in Virginia another location in North Carolina both next to my bed for Samsung family use Galaxy 7s, 8, 9Edge and 10. The device we received this time was a white device that we can use in our bathroom or kitchen with satellite radio apps on our phones. We found that to use this model you need to disable and restore the Dq00 model. Another thing we all liked about the D100 (previous model) is that it charges through both ports on the Otter Defender case, this D108 does NOT. You have to remove the rubber cover to use it. This makes it useless when trying to save your $1,000 phone from shattering on a tiled floor. from any height over 2 feet. Most counters are 3 feet high. Another issue is the lack of backlighting for the volume controls and arrows on the front of the device. So if you look down at the device, you can't tell which controls are your beat, volume up, or volume down. The ports on the back are handy for charging watches, Fitbits, and backup batteries. We found using Luettoth on this device to be erratic despite pairing with Samsung Galaxy S7, S8 and S8Edge. Some others have indicated that they can get the device working by plugging it into a USB port. We hope we don't have to do this, we could just use TTYL with our cellphones in a wireless format and we can leave both body parts of the Otter Defender TTYLed. We did get a slight increase in volume over the D100 unit, but not as much as we hoped, we wanted to use it in this bathroom with the hot tub running; not sure if this will achieve desired YMMV goal.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
