This is a cheap and fairly effective product. For the price I didn't expect it to be the most durable and it isn't. The connection points including the threads are made of plastic, which means that the threads loosen over time when screwing onto a metal shower head. When installing, be sure to use the supplied teflon tubing at the connection points as these provide a good seal and allow for some flexing, making it less likely that you will strip the threads during initial installation. Our water seems more manageable, skin isn't quite as dry and hair looks less damaged. Again, I wouldn't believe it's just chlorine removal or otherwise 100% efficient filtration, but for the price it's pretty good. I didn't do water testing like some of the other reviewers. The filter arrived in a newly boxed condition, the packing tape sealing the box leads me to believe it was opened, returned and resold. Still easy to install and has all the details.
