I am by no means a professional, but have had a DSLR for 5+ years. I bought a different similar bag,but the bottom section was simply storage of camera & accessories. After a few weeks, started wondering if it was worth it because if I traveled, I would still need to bring my side bag. I didn’t plan on carrying the backpack everywhere, as I prefer a smaller side bag for daily use while traveling. Then I found this one. I immediately returned the other bag when I got this bag, because it was perfect. The small bag slides in and out very easily. The top zipper section has plenty of room for my other electronics (charging cables, charger, headphones, etc). I have put both a laptop in the back part as well ad my ipad/book. I do wish it was a tad bigger to fit ipad plus a few books or journals, but I also carry a fire hd around in the very front zipper part. Lots of room other places I guess for those or all the typical things I travel with. I have taken camping and on road trips, and still in perfect condition. Can’t wait to try out for the ease of traveling on a plane in another month or so. Love that the one zipper part between the two sections can unzip so can use as a regular backpack if needed on my trips too! I fit a DSLR with 18-300mm lens plus a small littl cleaning kit inside small bag. May not work with professionals with multiple lens or if carrying a flash or other big accessories is important.
