In my time with several RV's I have always craved a Fan-Tastic vent but I could never shake the cash. Having recently bought a used RV, I found a cracked air vent and decided to go with the deluxe version over the other base option. The replacement required the same effort. Why have I denied myself for so long? Multi-speed, bi-directional, power boost and thermostatic shutdown. What more do you want? Rain sensor switched off. I'm crazy about this fan. On a chilly night, you can set t-stat to turn off the fan when the temperature gets too low. The huge, quiet, multi-blade fan blade is a welcome change from the small, high-speed fan typically found in RVs. I really wonder if they really move air or just sound like it. LOL The exhaust airflow can be selected to remove hot air from the ceiling area or draw in air from an open window. In spring and autumn, change the direction of airflow and blow the area with cool outside air. Of course, the fan can be turned off and the vent raised, and this can provide a makeup air hole to meet the need for venting. As I recently found out, the rain sensor actually works well as my FanTastic shut down after the first few raindrops.
