My favorite headphones are the Sony MDR EX37B which apparently are no longer made. These were the most durable (a pair I bought in May 2016 for $13 broke in February 2018), most comfortable with the best sound quality I've ever had, so I'm very disappointed that there are more of them not produce. Bought this as a replacement and am disappointed. Right out of the box there is a grainy noise (which /may/ disappear with use, I've had that a few times with Sony headphones and after a couple of weeks it usually goes away) every time you move the cable, that right ear is a little quieter than left, the headphones are quieter than I think they should be (I can listen to music at max volume without flinching) and the sound quality and comfort just aren't as good. I don't know why Sony dumped a good thing and left me this pathetic alternative. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere after at least 7 years of exclusively buying Sony headphones.
