I've had Paradigm Monitor SE Atom speakers for about a week now and am very happy with the sound. My previous favorite bookshelf speakers were the NHT SuperOne 2.1s, but at this point it looks like those Atoms are taking over my main listening area, not the NHT. Two issues I've had with some speakers are bass boom and weird resonances with some female voices. NHT does not have these problems, and so far Paradigm has not had any of these problems. The NHT has a very dynamic sound and the drums sound very realistic. The paradigms are also very dynamic and the drums sound very realistic. For now I have to prefer Paradigm. P also looks very cool with a gloss white finish contrasting with the black drivers and grilles. Highly recommended. Update 06/28/2020: The Paradigm Atom SE is the best sounding bookshelf I have ever owned. Never free, fast, great bass for its size. Just a great speaker. I just upgraded to a Tekton Lore Reference floorstanding speaker and it's an amazing speaker that stands taller than any bookshelf I've ever owned. Although I keep my Atom SE. I've had bookshelf speakers under $1,000 and the P topped them all to my ears.
