I actually just got this 4 on a visit to a beach in California. It worked fine and didn't make me feel like an idiot lol. It's trendy when you look like that and I would love it if you lived on the west coast. I actually think you might consider this unisex tbh. At least I have the colors and there's nothing wrong with that - so if your wife/girlfriend gets cold while walking on the beach, you can refuse. If you're trying to be fashionable - I see no reason why I wouldn't wear it if I was doing something like pastel. just be honest It's quite long, so for fairly chilly air it's almost more functional than just hanging it over a shirt/blazer. The price will make you happy. I don't give 5 stars lightly so keep that in mind.
