We eat with these spoons. These spoons successfully pick up food and bring it to the mouth without breaking or being damaged during movement. These spoons often spend time in the sink and/or dishwasher. So far, hot water and soap have not tainted or destroyed these spoons. If you need to get food from your plate to your mouth and want to use utensils to do it, I would recommend these spoons. The finish of these spoons is acceptable for gastronomy. To date, no one in my family has become upset or annoyed when these spoons are presented as utensils at a meal. I have not heard any of my friends whisper or imply anything negative about me or my wife for purchasing and using these spoons. This morning I ate a bowl of kashi with granola in a bowl with 2% milk. This seems to be quite a vigorous exercise with the spoon compared to normal spoon use. The spoon I used was from this set and worked great under high pressure. My hands and mouth suffered no damage from using this spoon while eating. I don't feel sick or unwell like I've gotten any kind of heavy metal poisoning. The spoon was not damaged during this meal.
