I used to move my lips a lot when wearing a mask. I don't know why, maybe it was the feeling of tissue on my lips but it looked like I was chewing food from moving my mouth so much. With this attachment the mask doesn't stick to my lips so it's much more comfortable and I don't unconsciously move my lips. First, I put the mask over my nose and mouth, but the underside of the braces rested on my bottom lip. I have found that I can slide the brace off my nose so it just covers my mouth and it works great. My nose still has enough room to breathe and the brace fits comfortably over my mouth. I would say the only downside is that it doesn't stick to the inside of my particular fabric mask, instead the mask is pressed against it. let it be, so it doesn't matter. It's probably best that it's not attached to the inside of the mask so it can be moved around for maximum comfort.
