Review on Video card Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 6800 Gaming 16GB (11305-01-20G), Retail by Micha Pirecki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

Switched to this card from 5700xt of the same vendor, playing qhd 144 hertz. 'Wow' effect, unfortunately, did not catch. I prefer to play at a high fps of 90+, but at the same time sacrifice graphics if necessary. In the game Hunt:showdown for stable 144, there is not enough processor, r5 3600x simply does not keep up with processing such a number of frames and the load of the video card walks from 60% to 98%, so I got the same frames as before, only the card is now underloaded. For my purposes, it looks like I need a R7 5800x or i7-10700k level processor. In general, if you unscrew all the settings to the maximum, the card loads without problems to the eyeballs in almost all games (again, except for cases of emphasis on the processor) and everything works fine. About temperatures: 1. In stock, in my cramped case, the core is under load around 75 degrees, and the hotspot reaches 90, but in stock coolers are limited by the rotation speed, it seems, up to 40%. 2. With a slightly twisted fan speed curve, the core is around 63-65 degrees, and the hotspot reaches 80, which in my opinion are excellent temperatures for such a card in my case, while the fans spin around 50%. It is worth noting that at 50% rpm the card is still quite quiet, you can't hear it in headphones, and without them it is a little louder than be quiet 140mm case fans. All settings for overclocking / downvolt in the photo, on average, the frequency is kept around 2250. Sapphire has proprietary software that allows you to make an analogue of dlss (respectively, we get an increased FPS) - you choose the resolution from which you want to stretch the image to one of the reference resolutions. If it turns out soapy, then you can add radeon image sharpening, which will add sharpness to the picture. I don’t say anything about rays, if they interested me, then I would take RTX. In general, it's cool that you can buy a level >=2080ti card for less money, but the mining boom is putting spokes in the wheels. I wish everyone a smooth framerate and worthy victories.

Pros
  • - High-quality cooling (more below) - ARGB for those who wish. Can be synchronized with rgb fusion similar programs, can be disabled - Compact (Differences in size from 5700xt are minimal), fit into matx cases. Fitted into my fractal design meshify c mini. - Keeps the declared frequencies, downvolt works, memory overclocking works (In the 6000 series, the fast timings profile for memory appeared in the adrenaline settings, apparently the template for compressed timings, works stably on my copy) - 2 bios and the ability to switch them programmatically
Cons
  • - Availability and prices - In some games at maximum load there is an extraneous sound, something like a squeak of throttles, but here it is more like a hum. In general, we practically do not hear without headphones, but it's just a fact - There is a feeling that the card is programmatically limited and capable of more with the current power system and cooling (Well, in fact, this is a cropped 6800xt), we are waiting for the firmware in the 6800xt version, since there are 2 bios and one can be screwed up.
