I am a plump apple shape and do not wear dresses. I am comfortable in 3X tops and XL bottoms. I bought the 2X and wore with boots to a wedding. It was perfect and comfortable! Very flattering in hiding just what I wanted to hide. The length was perfect also! The only recommendation I would have is that if you wear larger than a size 38DDD bra, then I would go a size up. If you wanted to dance and move around more then you may need a little more room in the chest area because it doesn’t stretch. This is the only dress I own and would love another in other colors!
