My daughter has moved out and bought dark blue and black crockery. I was going to give her a random set I have but decided to try and find her something to match the dishes. These mugs are really good. Big enough for coffee, solid, heavy (she and her boyfriend are gamers, so I really liked this feature), feels good in the hand and has no flaws. The frosting pattern makes the mugs more interesting. As mentioned by other reviewers, they are less dark blue and more of a medium blue, but the color shifts towards dark blue at the edge and partly at the handle. The interior of the mug, while a very dark navy blue, is so dark that it appears black (this is how I wanted my daughter's utensils to look as a set). I am very happy with this purchase. It met my expectations.
