I have this in a BioCube HQI with lots of soft corals and shellfish. I chose this lamp based on a lot of positive feedback on the reef discussion groups. My corals and shells thrived in this tank with this bulb and I had to trim them all the time they grow so fast. This bulb has died after 15 months and I see no reason to replace it. I have a replacement ready, but I'll wait until I see evidence that coral or shellfish aren't thriving before replacing them. I did a little research and couldn't find any evidence that these bulbs should be replaced at 6 months let alone a year so I let my corals tell me when they need to be replaced.
