While cleaning out my pantry I found an old Maglite that I have had for over 20 years and has probably not been used in 15 years. With all the amazing LED lights available these days, a giant old-fashioned Maglite is practically useless. But since I threw away unused "junk" the idea of throwing a perfectly working Maglite in the trash didn't occur to me. It just seemed like a waste of time throwing it away and it suddenly struck me that maybe I could convert an old Maglite to LED. It turns out you can! This 3W LED bulb is very bright and completely transforms Maglite. Although the beam produced is very narrow/focused, it's worth it. Now my old Maglite that almost ended up in a landfill has found a new life. While I have an absolutely amazing Fenix LED flashlight that is many times smaller than my Maglite but performs better, the LED conversion Maglite is a great addition to my home emergency preparedness kit.
